11 Displaced In Southwest Side Fire

CHICAGO (CBS) — Eleven people were forced into the cold early Wednesday, after their building caught fire in the Southwest Side’s Gage Park neighborhood.

The fire broke out just after 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, at 5701 S. Richmond St.

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control.

No one was hurt, but 11 people were displaced, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

The cause remains under investigation.
