Video: Aguilera Cut Super Bowl Rehearsal Early

ARLINGTON, Texas (CBS) -- A new TMZ video suggests Christina Aguilera decided not to go through with a full rehearsal before she sang, and botched, the national anthem before the Super Bowl.

The video posted by TMZ shows Aguilera stopping her rehearsal after the line, "And the rockets' red glare."

Aguilera went on to flub a line as she actually belted out the national anthem for an audience of millions.

When she was supposed to sing the line "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?" she instead repeated an earlier line, with a slight variation.

She sang "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming," which is the same line from earlier in the song but with the word `watched' instead of the word `hailed.'

During rehearsal, she got the line right.

"Perhaps someone should have reminded her about one of the oldest adages in sports: You play the way you practice," USA Today's Game On said.

Aguilera has been offered a second chance. The New York Mets Class A farm team the Brooklyn Cyclones have offered her an opportunity to sing the national anthem for one of their games this summer.
