CHICAGO (WBBM) – A Bucktown woman who works as a massage therapist for the Chicago Bulls says her dog was stolen more than three weeks ago during a break-in.

And – it seems to be part of a trend.

It was just over a month ago when Remy the dog was stolen during a break-in in Woodridge.

And then there was the story about an Arlington Heights break-in, where the family goldfish were killed when ketchup and mustard were poured into the tank.

Now, Rachel Parr, who works as a massage therapist for the Bulls, says her 12-year-old dog Maverick, a Yorkshire terrier, was stolen during a break-in at her Bucktown duplex.

“He’s had two strokes in the past two years, and he has arthritic hips so he wobbled a lot,” Parr said. “He walks with a distinctive tilt to his left side.”

Parr says some electronics were also taken from the home.
