Man Found Dead In Rogers Park Home With No Heat
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was found dead early Tuesday in his Rogers Park neighborhood home, which had no heat or electricity, officials said.
Rowland Draper, 60, was found frozen in his home at in the 2000 block of West Birchwood Avenue and was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The residence had no electricity or heat when Draper was found, according to the medical examiner's office. An autopsy to determine whether the cold played a role in his death is scheduled for later Tuesday.
At least 12 deaths in Cook County this winter have been attributed to the cold, according to the medical examiner's office.
