The Chicago Bears have extended some coaching contracts, including the contract of offensive coordinator Mike Tice. Just two days prior, he was denied permission to interview with the Tennessee Titans.

With the Titans unable to have a chance with Tice, they hired Chris Palmer. Tice’s contract has been extended until 2012.

In addition to Tice staying in Chicago for another year, assistants Tim Spencer, Bob Babich & Jon Hoke have also signed contract extensions.
