Michael Vick’s highest-profile one-on-one interview since before going to prison won’t be happening after all. The Eagle’s quarterback canceled his plans to appear on the The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Does Vick have something to hide? The reason to his decision to cancel is currently unknown. A chance to appear on national TV with Oprah would give the quarterback a chance to show mainstream Americans he has changed. Scheduling the interview only to cancel it later may contradict that opportunity.
The world already knows about Vick’s involvement in dog fighting. If worrying about being asked uncomfortable questions about his past is the reason, stepping up and answering them may be better for him in moving forward and letting his fans he has changed.
