2 Teens Shot In Marquette Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for a gunman who shot two teenagers in broad daylight in the Marquette Park neighborhood.

The boys were shot about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street, police said.

The shooting happened about a block south of the Donald L. Morrill School at 6011 S. Rockwell St.

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the hip and a 16-year-old boy was shot in the foot, police said.

Both were taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

As of Thursday morning, there had been no arrests, and there was no word on the motive.

In a separate incident across the South Side, a 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times in the 700 block of East 50th Place.

The teen was shot in the back and shoulder about 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition.

Police did not offender or motive information Wednesday night.
