Aurora Cops Bust Prostitution Ring

AURORA (STMW) -- An undercover operation targeting woman who offer sex through ads on websites netted eight prostitution arrests last week, according to police in west suburban Aurora.

The Feb. 16 operation, conducted by Special Operations Group investigators and officers from the Aurora police Community Oriented Policing Unit, targeted an apartment on the city's far east side, a release from Aurora police said.

The operation targeted women who posted ads on websites looking to make money for sex in the western suburbs, the release said. 

Those charged with prostitution include:

-- Nocturna Z. Geiter, 29, of the 13000 block of Clinton St. in Blue Island;
-- Kourtney J. Repp, 33, of the 2100 block of East 5th Street in St. Paul, Minn.;
-- Lauren C. Banks, 18, of the 500 block of East 102nd St. in Chicago;
-- Gabrielle A. Federick, 18, of the 700 block of East 73rd St. in Chicago;
-- Chunxia Liu, 40, of the 2900 block of Emerald Ave. in Chicago;
-- Jennifer M. Feigl, 22, of the 6700 block of Cedar Lane in Westmont;
-- Whitney L. Posey, 23, of the 900 block of Grand Canyon Parkway in Hoffman Estates; and
-- Kristina G. Colon, 22, of the 900 block of Berwick Place in Waukegan.

In addition, police seized three vehicles during the operation. In order to get them back, the women had to pay $500 towing and storage costs, the release said.

Police are not identifying the exactly location of the arrests to allow for similar operations in the future, the release said.
