JACK-FM Reveals Bon Jovi Opening Act At United Center
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Surviving an intense battle of the bands sponsored by 104.3 JACK-FM, the Chicago group West Side Winders was won the opportunity to open for Bon Jovi next week at the United Center.
The West Side Winders outlasted 11 other bands to win JACK-FM's "Give It A Shot To Open For Bon Jovi Contest."
The West Side Winders are the brainchild of Chicago based guitarist/vocalist Dan Peters.
(Click here to watch their "Give It A Shot" contest performance at the Tilted Kilt in Elgin.)
The West Side Winders play original American music: Rockabilly, swing, surf, country & western, rock 'n' roll, jazz and blues -– sometimes in the same song.
On their latest CD, "Snaken Not Stirred," Peters shifts effortlessly through a variety of styles, while bassist Derek Brand and drummer Kyle Olson lay down the kind of monster grooves that will literally force you out of your seat.
A limited number of tickets to the March 9 show are on-sale at Ticketmaster.com. And, for all things Bon Jovi, you can visit BonJovi.com.
