2 Hospitalized After Crash In Worth

WORTH, Ill. (STMW) -- Two vehicles collided Friday afternoon in south suburban Worth, sending two people to a hospital.

The wreck occurred about noon at the intersection of 111th Street and Ridgeland Avenue, according to Chicago Ridge Fire Deputy Chief Mark Hoffmeister, who described it as a "fender-bender.''

Two adults inside the vehicles were taken to Palos Community Hospital with minor injuries, Hoffmeister said.

An hour later, the wreckage had been cleared from the scene, he said.

The crash occurred in Worth's jurisdiction, but police there were not immediately available.
