PALOS HEIGHTS (WBBM) — What are the odds?
On Thursday, St. Patrick’s Day, a car crashed into a suburban gift shop called the Celtic Cottage.
It happened at closing time.

“We had just taken the flags in. And we shut the store — and crash,” owner Lorie Stone tells Newsradio 780.
The car went through the front window Stone says she’d previously seen the elderly female driver of the car in the store, as a customer.
No one was injured, but there was damage. And the store is knee-deep in irony.
“The irony of somebody crashing into an Irish store on Saint Paddy’s Day,” Stone said. “I just find the humor in disasters, I guess.”
Stone says she would spend her evening filling out paperwork — not how she’d envisioned spending a nice Saint Patrick’s Day night.
