ANTIOCH, Ill. (AP) – An Illinois soldier who died in Afghanistan has been buried in his hometown of Antioch.

The Daily Herald reports that the funeral for 22-year-old Spc. Andrew Wade was Monday in the northern Illinois city. Hundreds of mourners remembered the Antioch High School graduate. The U.S. Department of Defense has said Wade died March 7 in a noncombat-related incident.
The funeral Mass was at St. Peter Church and Wade was buried at Millburn Cemetery.
Wade played soccer in high school. He joined the Army a year after graduating.
