Race For Top Seed Will Come Down To The End
Through the first 68 games of the season, the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics have identical 49-19 records and are tied for the top spot in the conference race, but don't expect anything to change all that soon.
"As it stands now, the Celtics hold the tie breaker with the better conference record," K.C. Johnson, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "I do think it's going to come down to the end, they're now on pace [together]. They both have 14 [games] left, both have seven road games left, which is interesting, the Bulls have more back-to-back [games], the Celtics face more teams over .500. It's really really going to be interesting to see how this comes down to the end.

"I think that this is huge that the Bulls get the No. 1 seed, because as Tom [Thibodeau] has said, anything you can put in your favor...would possibly lengthen the run. And avoiding the Celtics or Heat until the Conference Finals would be huge."
