Colvin: 'We're Going To Surprise Some People'

The Chicago Cubs were 75-87 last season and finished in fifth place in the NL Central. It was a season that didn't provide much reason for optimism in 2011.

But after signing Carlos Pena as a free agent, trading for Matt Garza and signing former Cub Kerry Wood, the team started to become more interesting.

"I think we really do have a really solid team and I think we're going to surprise some people, just the way we're going to play this year," outfielder Tyler Colvin said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "We added some people to the team and I really just think we're going to surprise some people. I think we're going to play good baseball and hopefully be in it in the end."

In his rookie season, Colvin played in 135 games for the Cubs and hit 20 home runs and drove in 56 runs. The Cubs will need similar, if not better production out of Colvin in his second full season in the majors.
