White Sox Name Morel Starting Third Baseman

On Thursday, Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen announced that Brent Morel will be the team's starting third baseman.

The 23-year old Morel is only hitting .269 this spring, but is a more dependable, defensively, than Mark Teahen. Ozzie said that he would make sure that Teahen still got at-bats.

In 81 games for Triple-A Charlotte last season, Morel had a .320 batting average with eight home runs and 34 RBI.
