Woman Stabbed Multiple Times On NW Side

CHICAGO (STMW) - A 28-year-old woman was stabbed repeatedly in her Albany Park home Saturday morning in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.

The stabbing occurred around 6:10 a.m. during a domestic dispute in the 4100 block of North Bernard Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety. The offender fled the scene.

The woman was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, Baety said.

She has since been upgraded to stable condition, police said.

The victim told police her boyfriend attacked her when she tried to break up with him. She also said the suspect had previously been deported because of his immigration status, police said.

No one was in custody as of 7:30 p.m., police said.

Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
