14-Year-Old Girl Missing For Over A Week

LANSING, Ill. (CBS) -- A 14-year-old girl from south suburban Lansing has been missing for a week, after going to visit family on the South Side of Chicago.

Kyra Stokes of Lansing was visiting family in the area of 60th and May streets last week when she vanished, according to a missing persons alert from Wentworth Area Special Victims Unit detectives.

She has not been seen since Sunday, March 27.

Kyra suffers from bipolar disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, for which she takes medication. She is known to frequent the areas of 63rd Street from Richmond Street to California Avenue, the alert said.

Kyra is 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds with long two-tone micro-braids. Anyone with information should call 911 or SVU detectives at (312) 747-8385.
