Blackhawks Drop OT Game In Montreal

A late penalty by captain Jonathan Toews put the Chicago Blackhawks on the penalty kill in over time, and would eventually lead to P.K. Subban’s game-winning goal.

Carey Price made 42 saves for Montreal, which went on a 4-on-3 advantage 37 seconds into the extra period when Chicago captain Jonathan Toews was called for hooking Subban in the Canadiens’ zone.

Subban drove a slap shot past Corey Crawford after Montreal coach Jacques Martin used his timeout going into the overtime. The rookie Canadiens defenseman turned and skated towards Price, who checked Subban to the ice as the Canadiens gathered around their teammates to celebrate their return to the postseason.

Michael Cammalleri scored in the second for Montreal, which is sixth in the Eastern Conference with 93 points.

Looks like next week our defending cup champs will be swinging PINGS instead of SERWOODS and maybe our ITT tech non hockey experienced GM STAN BOWMAN will resign or get fired. Crawford was a god tonight the Hawks have no 3rd or 4th line scoring threats, no depth you can blame Dale as much as you want but at least he built the 2010 Champs. Out of all the GM’s that have come and gone in the past 20 years each one has had some hockey background either as a player or a coach but what does STAN BOWMAN have. A daddy named SCOTTY BOWMAN without his dad the guy couldn’t even get a standing room only ticket to any games. STAN BOWMAN is not a GM how much longer are we gonna have to carry this idiot on our staff do the wise thing cut bait and re-focus hiring that guy was a mistake from day one

oh god, Somebody is on her period again.

it was a great game, probably the best goalie duel I’ve seen this season, the reason we lost was because of a bogus PP the habs got in OT. glad we got 1 point though, and this game really showed me that Corey is ready for the playoffs. next game is on Wednesday, hopefully we don’t face another hot goalie for the 3rd time in a row. Go Hawks!

I agree, Jon. You took the words right out of my mouth.
I’m not sure what the refs saw there.

I wonder if they put Sharpie out there; they can, at least, send some fresh legs from Rockford down I-55. I hope “Jack” Brower is all right.
St. Louis has been very good, lately.

But, the ‘hawks play so much better, when no one is hitting people in the face with his stick!

    Great nickname team:

Toes, KANEer, Sharpie, Brooksy, Son of Hjalmar,

    C.C. “DeVille.”
