A 10-year-old boy from Pennsylvania has returned a piece of Super Bowl history to Chicago Bears great William “The Refrigerator” Perry.
Cliff Forrest of Fox Chapel, Pa., took $8,500 from his saving account to buy Perry’s Super Bowl ring. Cliff says he heard Perry was sick and wanted to give him the ring back. Perry has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Forrest and his family flew to Chicago on Saturday and returned the ring to Perry before an autograph session.
Perry won’t say how his Super Bowl ring ended up for sale. Cliff says Perry was very appreciative and gave him a pair of autographed jerseys.
William Perry played 10 seasons in the NFL. The lineman became a national celebrity in 1985, helping the Bears to a Super Bowl title.
