Hill: Bulls Fan Spit At Me

As he was leaving the floor after his team’s loss to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, Grant Hill claims that a fan spit and cursed at him.

“He said some profanity and spit in my direction,” Hill told the Arizona Republic. “I’m not going to let somebody spit at me. He knew he did wrong because he took off running.”

Hill was held back by United Center security, who the newspaper claims also caught the fan.

“I just saw the anger in his face,” Hill’s teammate Vince Carter told the newspaper. “When you see Grant like that, you know something’s up. Grant doesn’t say anything to anybody. He competes and does his job.”

Not only is this a shame and not representative of most great Chicago fans, but something to be addressed as the new breed of Bulls embarks on a potentially stellar journey toward another title.

As a proud Chicagoan always behind the team, I know we can expect better in the coming weeks from all our classy fans.

Well said Bill. Like you namesake Mr. Cosby once joked “there is a nut in every car’ that is why we all need to stand tall and represent the finer side of our city’s fan base.
