CHICAGO (CBS) – A man was injured Friday afternoon in a fire at a home on the Far South Side.

The fire broke out around 1:15 p.m. at a house at 13239 S. Langley Av. in the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood, officials said.

A Fire Department spokesperson said one man was seriously hurt in the fire and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The fire was out by 1:45 p.m. and no other injuries were reported.

Investigators remained on the scene at 2 p.m. trying to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
