CHICAGO (STMW) - A 9-year-old girl who went missing Saturday from the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side has been found safe and has been reunited with her family, police said Sunday morning.

Jalia Drane has been located and she is safe, according to a police News Affairs staement.

Jalia was reported missing after she was last seen Saturday in the 6100 block of South Winchester Avenue, according to a missing persons alert from Wentworth Area detectives.

Jalia was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jean capri pants and black Jordan gym shoes, according to the alert.

She wears her hair in a ponytail and has brown eyes and brown hair. She is African-American, 60 pounds, 4-feet tall, with a light complexion, according to the alert.

What a lame report! Based on the way she is described, it was clearly a repeat of the story that was run when she was still missing, but with a new opening paragraph.

If you’re going to do a half-assed job with the news, don’t bother doing it at all. Others are doing it better.
