CHICAGO (STMW) - A man robbed a TCF bank branch inside a Northwest Side Jewel was robbed Saturday night. No one was hurt and the robber got away.
About 8 p.m. someone robbed the bank inside the 24-hour grocery, 3570 N. Elston Ave., according to an Albany Park District police lieutenant. The lieutenant said the robber did not show a weapon when he handed a staffer a note that demanded money.
The robber escaped and and no one was injured.
The robber was described as a white male, between 40 and 50 years old, between 6-feet and 6-feet-1-inch tall, with gray hair, according to the FBI.
Grand Central Area detectives and the FBI are investigating.
