2 Injured In Northwest Side House Fire

CHICAGO, Ill ( STMW)– Two people were injured Sunday afternoon in a house fire in the Northwest Side Edison Park neighborhood.
At 4:29 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in a two-story frame house at 6591 N. Onarga Ave., according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado.
Crews used one hose to fight the blaze, bringing the fire under control at 4:58 p.m., Rosado said.
Two people were taken in stable condition to Resurrection Medical Center, he said. Their genders and ages were not known.
In an unrelated incident, crews are responding to a fire Sunday afternoon near the Stevenson Expressway in the McKinley Park neighborhood.
A call came in at 5:23 p.m. reporting a fire in the rear of a 2 1-2-story brick home at 2825 S. Short St., Rosado said.
As of about 6:15 p.m., firefighters were still at the scene. No injuries had been reported.
