Paul Konerko has been named the co-American League Player of the week, for the week ending on April 10. He’ll share the honor with Cleveland’s Asdrubal Cabrera.
Konerko was 10-24 (.417) with a double, three home runs and eight RBI over six games played. He tied for the AL lead in HRs and RBI and was second in slugging percentage (.833) and third in batting average.
It’s the fourth time Konerko has received a Player of the Week honor.
The Chicago White Sox went 4-2 over the week.
