Elderly Man Dies Three Days After Car Crash
PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. (STMW) -- An 89-year-old Oak Lawn man died early Monday, three days after he was involved in a crash in southwest suburban Palos Heights.
Thomas Treacy, 89, of the 5100 block of Tomcin Trail in Oak Lawn, was pronounced dead at 12:44 a.m. Monday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Treacy was involved in a crash near the intersection Illinois Route 83 and Princeton Lane in Palos Heights on April 29, according to the medical examiner's office.
A Tuesday autopsy determined Treacy died of multiple injuries from a vehicle striking a fixed object and the death was ruled an accident.
Palos Heights police are investigating.
