The sculpture is called "Self-Made Man," and it shows a man wielding a hammer - chiseling a sculpture of himself from the top down.

It's eight-feet tall and weighs 750 pounds.

And in the early morning hours on Sunday the 24th of April, Batavia Police say, it was pulled down and damaged.

Now, Deputy Police Chief James Dixon says, three men are charged and are turning turning themselves in: Theodore Bittner, Thomas Bittner and Steve Piron.

"The bond has been set at $25,000 each. So 10 percent - $2500 - applies."

Meaning, they have to come up with $2500 apiece to bond out.

Authorities believe alcohol may have played a role in the vandalism of the sculpture.
