Goodell Continues To Stress ‘Not Enough Negotiation’ Is Happening
CINCINNATI (AP)– Commissioner Roger Goodell continues to stress that “not enough negotiation is going on” between the owners and players.
Goodell took questions during a conference call with Cincinnati Bengals season tickets holders that went more than a half-hour Wednesday. He has done similar sessions with season ticket holders of other NFL teams.
The league has locked out the players in their dispute over a collective bargaining agreement. A federal appeals court has scheduled a June 3 hearing on whether the lockout should be allowed to continue. Currently, a stay is in place of an injunction that would lift the lockout and was granted by a U.S. District Court judge in Minnesota.
