CHICAGO (CBS) Both the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat have the lead in their respective Eastern Conference semifinal matcups.
A potential meeting between the two teams in the conference finals would be a prime-time event, but that series’ start date could get bumped a day for another event.
Accoridng to a Miami Herald report, the NBA informed a “few involved parties” that if both the Bulls and Heat win their series in six or fewer games, Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals would need to be moved from a Monday start to a Sunday start.
The move would need to be made because on that Monday, crews will be setting up for the taping of one of Oprah Winfrey’s final shows at the United Center.
However, if either series is pushed to seven games, the conference finals wouldn’t start wouldn’t start until Wednesday.
