DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (STMW) – A head-on collision left four people hospitalized in west suburban Downers Grove Saturday morning.
The wreck happened at 10:02 a.m. at the intersection of Walnut and Maple avenues, according to a police dispatcher.
Two vehicles collided head-on and four people were taken with non life-threatening injuries to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, the dispatcher said.
The vehicles had to be towed away and as of 11 a.m. the wreckage was cleared away, the dispatcher said.
It was not immediately known what caused the crash or if there were any citations.
A representative for the fire department could not be reached immediately, and unconfirmed dispatch reports indicate five ambulances were sent to the scene.
