Woman Plunges To Death From Sheridan Road High-Rise

CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman is dead, after plunging from a high-rise on Sheridan Road in the East Lakeview neighborhood.

The woman, described as being possibly in her 50s, plunged from residential high-rise at 2909 N. Sheridan Rd., according to a Cook County Medical Examiner’s office spokesman.

She was dead on the scene around 7 a.m.

The woman’s identity is not being released as of 11:15 a.m., pending notification of family.

Further details about her death, including whether she fell from the building, were not immediately known.

Belmont Area detectives are conducting a death investigation.

    we could see the body laying on the roof of the garage behind the building, with the police looking at it. Then they left. Then it lay there for two hours uncovered until someone came and took it away. There was a window open on the 8th or 9th floor.
