Aurora Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Students

AURORA (CBS)– A longtime band director at West Aurora High School is on administrative leave and accused of having sexual contact with students.

Police say the victims are students who were not yet 18 years old during some of the alleged contact. And they say Stephen Orland, 42, had sexual contact with two students on multiple occasions.

Prosecutors say Orland abused his position of trust and authority.

He surrendered at the Aurora Police Department Friday and posted $10,000 bond, Kane County prosecutors said.
