2 Officers Hurt When Car Crashes Into Squad Car

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two Chicago police officers suffered minor injuries when another car crashed into their squad car in the Englewood neighborhood late Saturday.

The accident happened when another vehicle struck the squad car about 10:55 p.m. at 7100 South Ashland Ave., according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

The two officers were taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, where they were expected to be treated and released, Greer said.

No charges or citations had been issued as of about 1:30 a.m.
