Four Shot On South Side

Four people -- two men and two women -- were shot while standing outside on the South Side early Sunday. None of the injuries are reported to be serious.

The shooting happened on the 300 block of East 60th Street about 12:50 a.m., according to a report from police News Affairs.

The four were standing outside when they heard shots ring out and they were struck by gunfire, police said.

A 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot to the leg and was taken to Provident Hospital of Cook County in good condition, the report said. An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg and was in good condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

A 28-year-old woman suffered a gunshot to the shoulder and was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where her condition was stable, police said. A 29-year-old woman suffered a gunshot to the arm, but refused medical attention and told emergency responders she would take herself to a hospital.

No one was in custody as of about 4:30 a.m.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
