CHICAGO (STMW) – Police found a man shot dead in the Lawndale neighborhood early Monday on the West Side.

Police responded about 5:15 a.m. to the 3900 block of West 14th Street and found a male dead on the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, police News Affairs Officer Anne Dwyer said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said the man appeared to be in his 20s, but remained unidentified Monday night. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Harrison Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody Monday night.
