13-Year-Olds Accused Of Texting Nude Photos

VALPARAISO, Ind . (CBS) — Two students at a northwest Indiana middle school are the subject of a police investigation into nude pictures they allegedly sent to each other.

Valparaiso Police were called Wednesday to Thomas Jefferson Middle School after school officials learned that the students, a boy and girl, both 13, had been texting nude photos of themselves to each other.

Police learned through their investigation that the photos were sent in late March and that both students had the photos stored in their cell phones, a release from police said.

According to the release, the Juvenile Probation Department was contacted and both students were released to guardians. Charges of child exploitation were referred to the Juvenile Probation Department.

    • Dan

There is no crime, it’s sexting. People really need to lighten up.

  • the blob

just some kids havin some harmless fun

    • Dan

      My point exactly !

  • Juanita Walker

People just don’t get what makes them targets for perversion.

How do two thirteen-year-olds exploit one another?

How does one “text” nude images?

They’re doing what comes naturally but our faux “morality” will end up making them feel like perverts.

    • Dan

      Again, my point exactly !

It wasn’t against the law to play doctor in the 20th century, but now it’s against the law to do it over the phone now, I guess. The country has gone mad.

    • Dan

      Good point.

  • Judy

@ Southside…It was wrong to play “Doctor” then and the law has real reasons why its against the law to send nude photos of underaged children on a cell phone! Our country has not gone mad but only those with a skewed morality would think so! Time to grow up my friends! Children need to be protected and its up to the grown ups to do it!!!! The law steps in to back-up the grownups! GEESH!

It is child porn people, they should be charged. Do kids not realize that irregardless if they delete them, the pictures stay in a database.
