Gas Main Ruptures In Elk Grove Village

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (CBS) — Gas company crews were dispatched Tuesday morning following a main break in northwest suburban Elk Grove Village.

The fire department in Elk Grove Village confirmed the main break at Greenleaf Avenue and Busse Road. Fire officials said Nicor gas crews were sent to the scene.

Fire officials could not confirm reports that some nearby businesses were evacuated. Several local business representatives said they were still in their buildings.

Another example of a failing infrastructure, courtesy of Republicans tax breaks to their corporate masters .

    • Will

The gas break is probably due to the construction that is currently taking place at the corner of Busse and Greenleaf.

    • Bing

Another misguided angry democrat liberal blaming every negative thing in this country on republicans. I guess what Elk Grove needs is democrat community organizer so the people can get free benefits for this inconvenience at taxpayers expense.

We are still in our offices and we are near Arthur & Busse

The gas main rupturing has nothing to do with politics or taxes. The gas main ruptured because there is no preventitive maintenance. And there is no maintenance going on because upper management is not spending their profits correctly. If they would invest in operations and less in marketing they would be better off.
