CHICAGO (CBS) – One person was injured Thursday morning when a fire broke out in an apartment building in North Lakeview.

At 5:12 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire in the rear of a three-story graystone building at 913 W. Sheridan Rd., according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado.

It was elevated to a still-and-box alarm fire at 5:15 a.m.

One person was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to Rosado. The person was reportedly in fair condition.

West Sheridan Road at that point is an eastern extension of Byron Street, and is lined with multi-unit apartment buildings.

The fire was extinguished at 5:50 a.m., Rosado said.
