Schuster: Sox Moving On Up

By David Schuster--

CHICAGO (WSCR) The White Sox had 15 hits Thursday night and look who joined the party? Alex Rios had a  pair of hits and Adam Dunn hit his 6th home run.

Dunn was inserted back into the lineup after sitting for a pair of games and he told us before the contest that he actually looked at some old tape for the first time just to familiarize himself with his hitting stroke. It obviously helped as he hit a home run to left and when he's going good he usually hits them to the opposite field.

Paul Konerko also went deep, part of his 2 hit night,  and Konerko told me that his wrist is almost back to 100%. Funny, who could have told that it wasn't? Konerko has been incredibly consistent and is now hitting .318 with 15 home runs and 49 runs batted in. He is a lock for being in the All Star Game again.

Mark Buehrle lasted 7 innings for his 6th win as the Sox took advantage of a team going backwards. The A's made a managerial change before the game but it didn't help as their losing streak is now 10.
