Man, 19, Fatally Shot In Lawndale

CHICAGO (STMW) – A 19-year-old man who was shot in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side died early Saturday.

Jonathon Banks, 19, was pronounced dead at 12:09 a.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Banks was shot at 1448 S. Trumbull Ave., according to the medical examiner’s office. The shooting happened about 9:25 p.m., police said. Banks suffered a gunshot to the head, according to police.

Harrison Area detectives are investigating.

    Good riddance…one less thug to terrorize decent people on the north side.

    None of this is going to end until the cops shoot and kill a couple of them and make them realize that the police aren’t playing around under the new superintendent. It has to be like martial law on the South and West Sides for this killing to stop.
