Seven Hurt, Five Critically In Little Village Roll-Over Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) – Five people — including one child — were critically injured early Saturday in a roll-over crash in which several people were ejected from a truck in the Little Village neighborhood. Two other people were also hurt.

A Mitsubishi car and Ford pick-up truck crashed about 12:35 a.m. in the 3300 block South Kedzie Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.

The pick-up truck rolled over and ejected several occupants — none of whom were wearing seat belts, Langford said.

Four adults were taken in serious-to-critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to Langford.

One child was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Langford said.

Two other adults were taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Langford.

An EMS Plan I, which automatically sends five ambulances to the scene, was called and later secured for the incident.
