Report: Haviland To Interview For Winnipeg Opening
CHICAGO (CBS) Blackhawks assistant coach Mike Haviland will interview for Winnipeg's head coach opening, according to NHL.com.
It was widely assumed Haviland would be a candidate for the opening after former Blackhawks Assistant General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff was hired to be Winnipeg's general manager last week.
Haviland has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach for the Blackhawks under Joel Quenneville.
