Tillman: ‘We Will Have Football Real Soon’

CHICAGO (WSCR) Go ahead and count Bears cornerback Charles Tillman among those who sees a light at the end of the tunnel in the NFL labor talks.

“This will get settled. We’re going to have football at some point in time, I can guarantee you that,” Tillman told The Boers and Bernstein Show on 670 The Score Thursday. “We just don’t know when. But we will have football real soon, I’m more than sure of it. That’s why I really feel like there is really no need to panic.”

An end of the lockout would be a welcome relief to some players who are reportedly strapped for cash. But Tillman doesn’t have much sympathy for those who haven’t been able during the the lockout.

“That’s their fault. Everyone in the league was given plenty of notice,” he said. I think our (players association) did a nice job of giving us a heads up …  So if you are strapped for cash, that’s on you. You’ve made some poor choices. Things you have bought, the way of your life style, or you trying to keep up with the Jones. I blame you for that.”

PASSION, HEART, COMMITMENT!!! Only Chicago could have displayed the characteristic’s that could deify the ages! Because of the unprecedented show of heart and love for “Americana Futbol” the lockout seems to have been halted as if the Green Lantern had stuck his pertty little fanger out and created a world with Chicago Bear football. I had to ask myself, would I be angry if the Bears didn’t play football this year? No. Would I be mystified that the precious NFL would take a “helmet to helmet hit” in their pocket books? No. I will never feel sorry for a person or organization that exploits the reality of football. I hate to be “that guy” but I have a lot more to worry about than Chicago Bears Football. I do sympathize, in relation, to those fans that have bought season tickets. But isn’t this Chicago? I want every player to leave everything on the field,,,,Wait (Insert Dr. Dre,.. Hold Up Heyy…) If you want these people to leave their livelihood and chance everything that relates to a future on the field, than shouldn’t you be willing to pay for this years entertainment? Yes yes yes, the trickle down effect. I understand that jobs will be “lost” but those jobs are contracted out through a company that provides refreshments, snacks, and joy to many other events other than Soldier Field. I might be the” negative vibe guy” here but wouldn’t it be nice to have a year off for the senior citizens and rookies? Oh wait, I just came across the NBA D league… I am Ok for now.

I have NO idea what you’re talking about…..

Did anyone else notice that he didn’t specify what KIND of football? He never said “NFL football”…
