ELMWOOD PARK, Ill. (STMW) – A man died Tuesday night after apparently being assaulted Sunday in west suburban Elmwood Park.

Marcin Nowak, 31, of an unidentified home address, was injured in a Sunday assault at North 78 and West Belmont avenues in Elmwood Park and was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office said.

Elmwood Park police, but nobody was available to comment Tuesday night.
