Man Fatally Injured After Vehicle Accident

MCCOOK, Ill. (STMW) — A 60-year-old man died Monday after a crashing a vehicle in west suburban McCook.

The crash occurred at 8324 Joliet Road, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The victim identified as Anthony Caporelli, 60, of 6024 S. Archer Road in Summit — was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood at 6:57 a.m. Monday, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy on Tuesday found Caporelli died of multiple injuries from a motor vehicle striking a fixed object and his death was ruled an accident.

A spokesperson from McCook police was not immediately available for comment.
