Riggleman Joins Cubs-Sox TV Coverage

CHICAGO (CBS) Jim Riggleman, who surprisingly resigned as Washington Nationals manager last week, will serve as a television analyst for Comcast SportsNet during this weekend’s Cubs-White Sox series at Wrigley Field, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Riggleman will be part of Comcast SportsNet’s pregame and postgame shows Friday and Sunday. FOX has the rights to Saturday’s contest.

Riggleman became the Nationals interim manager in July of 2009 after Manny Acta was fired and he was retained for 2010 and 2011. He resigned last Thursday after the Nationals refused to pick up his option for 2012. He previously served as manager of the Cubs from 1995-98.
