Missing Uptown Woman Found Safe

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 29-year-old woman from the Uptown neighborhood has been found safe, after telling her husband she was going to Vietnam, but never getting on the plane.

Tran Huong left her home in the 900 block of West Lakeside Place on June 5, and said she was going to Vietnam, police said. But the plane took off without her, and she was not seen for a month.

Police had said she frequented a nail salon several miles away, at 11623 S. Halsted St. in the West Pullman neighborhood, but had no other information other than a description.

But on Wednesday, police said Huong had been located safe and uninjured. Her motive for disappearing and other details were not available.
