CHICAGO (CBS) — A 15-year-old girl successfully fought off a man who tried to drag her into an alley in the West Pullman neighborhood in the daylight hours Wednesday morning.

Around 7:20 a.m., a man in his 20s wearing all black clothes grabbed the girl, and tried to drag her into an alley in the 11700 block of South Princeton Avenue, police said.

The 15-year-old girl fought the man who then fled the scene, police said.

The girl reported the incident to police, but refused medical attention.
