Man Killed, Teen Wounded In Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) - A man is dead and a teenage boy is wounded after Wednesday afternoon shooting in the South Side Burnside neighborhood.

The shooting happened about 3:50 p.m. in the 9200 block of South Dobson Avenue, according to police, who said the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear.

Somebody took the wounded -- a 16-year-old boy and 21-year-old man -- to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where police were notified.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said the man, Donte McKinney, of 9352 S. Avalon Ave., was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:15 p.m. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, the medical examiner's office said.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
