Dunn Sits As White Sox Face Left-Hander Duffy

(CBS) Adam Dunn will sit tonight as the White Sox take on lefty Danny Duffy in Kansas City.

Dunn is just 2-for-64 against lefties this season and only has 15 hits in his last 120 at-bats (.120).

Carlos Quentin will serve as the designated hitter and move up in the order, batting fourth behind Paul Konerko. Brent Lillibridge will play right field and bat sixth.

Meanwhile, catcher Tyler Flowers will make his season debut, batting eighth. Brent Morel will play third as Mark Teahen sits for the first time since the All-Star break.

Jake Peavy takes the mound for the first time since July 10 for the White Sox.

Tonight’s White Sox lineup:

Juan Pierre – LF

Alexei Ramirez – SS

Paul Konerko – 1B

Carlos Quentin – DH

Alex Rios – CF

Brent Lillibridge – RF

Gordon Beckham – 2B

Tyler Flowers – C

Brent Morel – 3B

Well Sox fans, it only took Ozzie 96 games to figure out Dunn sucks vs. lefties (and righties). Now, I wonder how long it will take him to figure out Rios and Teahen and Peavy suck too.
